Reroofing/Building a New Home/Remodeling/Addition
The roofing material, color and pattern you select can improve the aesthetics, and appeal of your home. Architects know that the right roof can highlight a homes architectural style, and compliment or accent windows, doors, siding, exterior paint and trim. The right roofing contractor can make this possible and offer valuable advice in this area. At Cal-Vintage Roofing Co. Inc. our experienced roof consultants will help you select the roof that is best suited for your home , family and budget. Our workmanship warranty for reroofing is ten(10) years and covers your roof for any leaks that may occur(covers roof top and interior). We will provide you samples of the roofing material and a list of references/addresses of completed jobs for you to view. We also treat your home like it is our own. For you and your family’s protection, each crew has been provided with a company trailer which allows them to keep your property neat, clean and safe for your entire roofing project. Our Roofing Design Center/Showroom is also available with many of the major products and accessories on display. We also offer Green Products for our clients who wish to achieve a more energy efficient home.

If you are considering reroofing your home, there are new requirements in place. State and building codes now require that you have a battery operated smoke detector in every bedroom and hallway leading to a bedroom and a battery operated carbon monoxide detector in your hallway leading to all bedrooms. Federal law requires contractors that disturb painted surfaces in homes, child care facilities and schools built before 1978 to be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination. Cal-Vintage Roofing is a Certified Renovator of Lead Containment. And as of January 1, 2010, Title 24, Part 6 went into effect. Now a cool roof will be required for residential buildings (Climate Zones-10-15, Sacramento is Zone 12). Cool roof standards are designed to reduce air conditioner demand, lower your energy costs, and reduce the urban heat island effect. There are other products available that will meet the new Title 24, Part 6 Energy Efficiency Standards if you elect to install a non-Cool Roof.

Seamless Gutters/Downspouts
In conjunction with installing new roofs, we also install pre-painted seamless aluminum or steel gutters and downspouts. Our seamless gutters come in 7”, 5” and 5” O.G. (old gothic) sizes. Our standard colors are white or brown with a wide variety of custom colors also available (additional charges may apply). We also have a full line of bonderized, galvanized or copper gutters to choose from.

Gutter Screens
Cal-Vintage Roofing provides homeowners with solutions to their gutters becoming clogged with debris. Gutter screens can be installed with all types of roofing and will fit virtually any gutter. We provide gutter screens in conjunction with installing roof systems.

Solar Attic Fans
Having a properly vented attic keeps your home cooler, your utility bills lower (since you won't have to run the AC as much), and helps combat the harmful effects of condensation buildup which can lead to rot, mold, and mildew. Traditionally, passive ventilation and electrical attic vent fans have been used to address this issue and keep a flow of fresh air circulating through the attic space. Recently, however, the solar powered attic fan has started to catch on as a near perfect solution for this task. A solar powered attic fan works pretty much like you'd expect it to. The fan itself is installed near the ridge of your home's roof, and is then connected to a set of low powered photovoltaic solar cells that provide the fan with enough electricity to get the fan spinning when the sun is shining. The adjustable solar panel enables the unit to capture low angle light. One unit will ventilate up to 1200 cubic feet of attic space, bringing down attic temperatures by 20-30 degrees *Other ventilating systems are available. Our roof consultants will design a system that best fits the profile of your roof. 10 Year Warranty on panel, 5 Year Warranty on motor, 50 Year Warranty on aluminum.

Blown-In Attic Insulation
The attic is the easiest place to add insulation to improve your comfort and the energy efficiency of your home. Do I Have Enough? No matter what kind of insulation you currently have in your attic, one quick way to determine if you need more is to look across the span of your attic. If your insulation is just level with or below your ceiling joists (i.e., you can easily see your joists), you should add more. Insulation levels are specified by R-Value. R-Value is a measure of insulation's ability to resist heat flow. The higher the R-Value, the better the thermal performance of the insulation. The recommended level for most attics is to insulate to R-30 or about 10 to 14 inches, depending on insulation type.*Note-As of January 1, 2010, California’s Building Energy Efficiency Standard, Title 24, Part 6, will require a minimum of R-30(11.50”) of insulation in your ceiling for the Sacramento area.

Tubular Skylights
We can provide a cost effective way to introduce light into the dark spaces of your home. Tubular skylights are non-corrosive, will not warp or rust and they can light up to 250 sq. ft of floor space. These tubes capture light through a dome on the roof and channel it down through an internal reflective system. They can be installed on all types of roofing and have optional light kits, dimmer kits, and exhaust fan kits. 50 Year Product Warranty, Lifetime Leak Free Warranty; Energy Star rated.
