There are two main labeling programs in the U.S. who promote the use of Cool Roofs. The Energy Star Program and the “Cool” Roof Rating Council (CRRC).

	ENERGY STAR is a joint program of the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and the U.S. Department of Energy helping us all save money and protect the environment through energy efficient products and practices.
	The Cool Roof Rating Council The Cool Roof Rating Council(non- profit ) was created in 1998 to develop accurate and credible methods for evaluating and labeling the solar reflectance and thermal emittance (radiative properties) of roofing products and to disseminate the information to all interested parties.
